Fundraising Phase I: COMPLETE √
We did it! As of March 28, 2022 we have officially fully funded Phase I of the ORHS Track Renovation project! All new hurdles, high jump and pole vault equipment have been purchased and are ready for practice beginning in the 2023 Indoor Track season.
As with any great team, our success is thanks to every single individual’s cumulative contribution. It took each one of your donations to get here, and we are so grateful for your help. We can’t wait for our athletes to practice and compete in our new, cutting edge facility!
Here’s where your donations are going:
Help us bring the hurdles into the 21st century!
For too long ORHS was forced to compete with hurdles from the 1980’s. These caused a safety concern as modern rocker hurdles are designed to be lightweight and counterbalanced when struck by an athlete. The new hurdles are also customized with Oak Ridge graphics.
To build an elite hurdles set we need $9,800 for:
AAE EXCLUSIVE! UV-Stabilized Polycarbonate ("UVSP") Risers which are scratch & fade resistant, recessed stainless steel hardware, redesigned push-button notches for smoother height adjustment, Omnicolor® resins to custom match* school/team colors beyond standard sixteen colors above
Low maintenance aluminum frame that's engineered to last
AAE EXCLUSIVE! Dome welded endcaps - superior to plastic caps that scatter around the track
Push-button height adjustment to 30"/33"/36"/39"/42"
Dual cross support bars
Fixed weights meet NFHS pullover requirements at every height
Double-web Lexan-II board in standard 41" width - also available in 35" for narrower lanes
FULL COLOR Digital Printing on all hurdle boards (complete Confirmation Form - see CUSTOMIZATION Tab above)
Ask a sales representative about our SAME DAY SHIPPING (for an additional charge)
Meets all NFHS specifications
Help us create a new ORHS high jump legacy!
A new high jump pit is necessary for elite competition and a new aesthetic to match renovations. ORHS currently does not have a high jump cover due to wear and tear over the years.
To build an elite high jump pit we need $7,915 for:
(1) IAP-26 landing pad with Skirted Breather Cover or (1) IAP-28 with Skirted 2" Top Pad - both meet/exceed NFHS & NCAA requirements
(1) IWC gray weather cover that protects the units when not in use
(1 Pair) MJS Mega High Jump Standards
(2) XG4 High Jump Crossbars
Help us create a new ORHS pole vault legacy!
ORHS has not had a pole vault competition at Ben Martin Track since 2018. The old equipment was unsafe and many years out of date. The new package will allow athletes at ORHS to participate in the event for the first time in 4 years. This will also allow ORHS to host premiere invitationals.
To build an elite pole vault pit we need $20,680 for:
(1) SPV-30XL pole vault mat with Skirted Breather Cover or (1) SPV-32XL with Skirted 2" Top Pad that meets/exceeds requirements (specify above)
(2) PVB-32XL Side Pads to cushion area directly surrounding the pole vault standards
(1) SWC-30XL or SWC-32XL gray weather cover that protects the units when not in use
(1) VBC-S Vault Box Safety Collar - additional safety measure that conforms to ASTM F2949-12 & F1292-09 standards as required by the NCAA and NFHS
(1 Pair) PVS-HSX for high school or (1 Pair) PVS-NCAA for college Pole Vault Standards (specify above)
(2) XG5 Pole Vault Crossbars
Thank you.
We are so grateful to everyone who has helped us complete Phase I, bringing safer, newer equipment to our modern, elite facility.
Now we begin Phase II, purchasing the essentials needed to protect, transport and utilize our new equipment.
